Lightning Risk Assessment app for iPhone and iPad

This application assists electrical engineers to calculate and determine the necessity of lightning protection methods on a specific structure.

To start a calculation, you may need to provide an entire dataset for the structure. The data asked in the data table is all compulsorily required.

The application will finally reach a conclusion for whether lightning protection methods are required or not. You may adjust the input data to see how might it be possible to prevent the necessity of lightning protection methods.

The algorithm built in the application is developed based on the book [1] EN 62305-2:2006, Protection against lightning — Part 2: Risk management. This book provides an accurate and authoritative method to calculate and determine the necessity of lightning protection methods.
